PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor DONALD M’LEAN, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS it is consistent with general convenience that the meeting of the Provincial Council, which by a proclamation under my hand was appointed for the 25th day of September instant, should be postponed until the third day of October now next. Now, therefore, I, Donald M’Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me on this behalf, Do hereby alter and vary the time appointed for the meeting of the said Provincial Council, and do hereby proclaim and appoint that the Provincial Council shall meet for the despatch of business, at the Council Chamber, at Napier, on WEDNESDAY, the third day of October, at 3 o’clock p.m.

Dated at Wellington, this seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED for general information that a Writ for the election of one Member to serve in the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay for the Town of Napier having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," the Returning Officer has returned the said Writ with a certificate that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a member of the said Provincial Council for the said Town of Napier.
