been amended by a certain Act of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay, No. 8 of Session No. 8, intituled "An Act to amend an Act intituled ‘An Act to amend and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding,’ Session 3 No. 8 of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington:"

And Whereas it is expedient to declare that so much of the said District specified in the Proclamation hereinbefore recited, forming a portion of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, as the same is specified and described in the Schedule hereunder, shall cease as, from the date hereof, to be a Pastoral District, and shall come within the operation of the said Acts.

Now therefore, I, DONALD M’LEAN, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, Do hereby Proclaim and Declare that all the District specified and described in the Schedule hereunder written shall cease to be a Pastoral District, and shall come within the operation of the said Act, No. 8 of Session No. 3, of the Province of Wellington, as amended by an Act of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay, No. 8 of Session No. 8, intituled "An Act to amend an Act intituled ‘An Act to amend and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding,’ Session 3 No. 8, of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington."

Given under my hand and Seal this fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

SCHEDULE.

North, by Port Napier from the mouth of the Tutaekuri River, the Warerangi Reserve, the Suburban Land of Western side of Harbour, Captain Henton’s Run, and the Tutaekuri River, to the Boundary of the Province.

East, by the sea-coast from the mouth of the Tutaekuri River to that of the Porangahau River, excluding the Town and Suburban Land of Napier.

South, by the Porangahau River to its source, and thence in a line due West to the Boundary of the Province.

West, by the Western Boundary of the Province to the Tutaekuri River.


PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor Donald M’Lean, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of Wellington, Session 3 No. 8, intituled "An Act to amend and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding," and an Act of Session 8 No. 8 of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, intituled "An Act to amend an Act and consolidate the Law relating to Cattle Trespass and Impounding, Session 3 No. 8 of the Provincial Council of the Province of Wellington," It is amongst other things enacted that the Superintendent may from time to time by Proclamation declare any Pounds to be, or cease to be Public Pounds within the meaning of the said Acts and may from time to time in like manner appoint keepers of such Pounds.

Now, therefore, I, Donald M’Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby proclaim that the respective persons and places hereinafter mentioned shall be Poundkeepers and Public Pounds:--
