NOTE.—This Return does not include all the Land under assessment in the Province, but merely the acreage on which Assessment is actually paid, many runs still having unabsorbed balances of the original deposit paid on Application. The “number of acres” and “Assessment” columns do not in all cases agree, on account of portions of a year’s rent being charged before purchases are deducted.
