IT is hereby notified for general information that
MR. CREYNE
has resigned his appointment of Returning Officer for the Napier Country District.

PROCLAMATION.
By JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand.
I, JOHN CHILTON LAMBTON CARTER, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in virtue of a Warrant dated the 26th day of August, 1861, under the hand of his Excellency the Governor, delegating to me the power of appointing and removing Returning Officers, and also of appointing and establishing Polling places for the election of members of the Provincial Council of Hawke’s Bay: Do hereby, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by the said Warrant, appoint the following person to be Returning Officer for the Electoral District set opposite his name.
John Curling, Esq.……Napier Country District.
Dated the fourteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and sixty three.
