N O T I C E.
IN pursuance of the provisions of Clause 10 of "The New Provinces Act, 1858," and in virtue of a Notification under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, dated 14th March, 1861, accepting the resignation of Thomas Henry FitzGerald, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Hawke's Bay, and received by me this 28th day of March, 1861, I, John Chilton Lambton Carter, do hereby convene the members of the Council Chamber, Napier, at 12 o'clock noon on Monday, the 8th day of April, 1861, for the purpose of electing a Superintendent in the place of the said Thomas Henry FitzGerald.

To the Speaker of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke's Bay.
IN accordance with the provisions of the "New Provinces Act, 1858," I hereby notify to you that Thomas Henry FitzGerald, Esq., has resigned the office of Superintendent of the said Province of Hawke's Bay, and that I have accepted his resignation on the seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.
And that there now exists a vacancy in the office of Superintendent of the said Province.
Given under my hand this fourteenth day of March, One thousand eight hundred, and sixty-one.
