TENDER ACCEPTED.
Mr. J. Hughes—9d. per acre for open land, and 1s. 3d. per acre for bush land.
TENDERS REJECTED.
Messrs. Thomas & Nation—Fourteen pence per acre.
Mr. T. D. Triphook—For the sum of £396.

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED for general information that a Writ for the Election of a Member to serve in the Provincial Council of Hawke's Bay, for the District of Clive, having been issued in accordance with clause 12 of "An Act, to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," the Returning Officer has returned the said Writ with a certificate that the undermentioned gentleman has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the said Provincial Council for the said District of Clive:—
