NOTICE is hereby given, that on and
after November 1, next, persons hold-
ing Licenses to Fish will be allowed to fish
on the right-hand bank of the River Avon,
from Fendalltown downwards as far as the
stone bridge on the Riccarton Road, west of
the Acclimatisation Gardens: that is to say,
on the Hagley Park side of the river only.

"THE PROTECTION OF ANIMALS
ACT, 1873."
HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent
directs it to be notified that he has,
in pursuance of the powers delegated to him
under "The Protection of Animals Act,
1873," appointed the following person to act
as a Ranger within the Province of Canter-
bury:

Auctioneers' Ordinance, Session III.,
No. 3," I hereby give notice that the under-
mentioned person has taken out an Auc-
tioneer's License for the period ending 30th
June, 1876:

made the following Reserve, temporarily,
under the provisions of the Waste Lands
Regulations, viz.:—
1917 (in red).—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the Malvern district,
bounded on the north-eastward by
Reserve 1757 (in red) ; on the north-
westward by the road forming the
south-east boundary of Section 9382;
and on the south-westward by a line
at right angles to north-west bound-
ary, so as to contain the required
quantity.—For gravel pit.
