of any horse, cattle or vehicle as aforesaid shall, while he shall be so in charge, remain sufficiently near to have the same under complete control.

  1. Any person riding or driving any animal or vehicle in any street or private street, meeting any other animal or vehicle, shall keep on the near or left side of the road; and passing, shall keep on the off or right side of the road; and shall not in any manner prevent or obstruct any other person from riding or driving as aforesaid from meeting or passing.

  2. No person shall furiously or negligently ride or drive any horse, cattle or vehicle in or upon any street or private street; no person shall wilfully or negligently so drive cattle in any street or private street as to cause damage or danger to any person or thing, or shall in anywise misbehave in respect of the driving of cattle therein.

  3. No person shall ride, drive or lead any cattle, cart, dray, waggon or carriage, or wheel any barrow upon or along any footpath or side channel without permission from the Borough Council so to do.

  4. No person in charge of any vehicle shall ride thereon without having and holding proper and sufficient reins attached to the animal or animals drawing the same.

  5. No person shall, without the authority of the Council, expose or offer cattle for sale or exhibition in any street or private street, not being a lawful fair or market.

  6. No person shall slaughter or expose or offer for sale, or have in his possession with intent to slaughter or sell as fit for human food, any diseased animal, or any meat, fish, game, poultry or fruit which shall be unfit therefor.

  7. No person shall keep open in or upon any street or private street any entrance or opening therefrom for access into any vault, cellar or other underground place (except for the purpose of taking goods thereout or storing goods therein), nor for any longer time than shall be reasonably necessary for such purpose, nor during such time as shall be so necessary without providing sufficient protection to passengers from any injury thereby; nor shall any person neglect or omit to keep always in good repair any door, railing or cover to or about such entrance or opening.

  8. No person shall make any writing or painting upon any house, building, wall, fence, gate, door or post of any kind, or shall place thereon or affix thereto any placard, document or thing, or shall in any way deface the same without the consent of the owner or occupier thereof.

  9. No person shall burn or set light to any shavings, hay, straw, flax, wood, gorse cuttings or other inflammable produce or materials upon any street, private street, footway, carriage road or open or public place without written permission from the Council so to do.

  10. No person shall in any street or private street roll any cask or vessel, or beat any carpet, break in any horse, fly any kite, use any bows and arrows, or play at any game to the annoyance of any person in any public place, or obstruct any footpath or carriage road; nor shall any person maliciously deface, injure or remove any doorplate, bell knocker, lamp or signboard, or who shall wilfully disturb any inhabitant by ringing any bell or knocking at any door.

  11. No person shall wantonly hurt or harass any cattle passing along or being in any street or private street; nor shall any person wilfully set on any dog to attack, worry or put in fear any person or animal in any street, or suffer any ferocious or mischievous dog of which he may be owner or have charge to be at large and unmuzzled.

  12. No person shall without lawful cause or authority discharge or let off any firearms or fireworks of any kind whatever.

  13. No person shall throw, cast or discharge any stone, stick, marble, bullet or missile of any kind to the damage or danger of any person or thing.

  14. No person shall place or leave in or upon the bank of any creek, stream or watercourse any dead animal or other noxious or offensive matter or thing; or shall throw, cast or discharge into any creek, stream or water-course any dead animal or other noxious or offensive matter or thing, or any living animal with intent to drown the same, or shall drown any animal therein.

  15. No person shall in any street sing, say or recite any profane, indecent or obscene song; use any profane, indecent or obscene language; paint, draw or write any profane, indecent or obscene representation, figure or word; or distribute, expose or offer for sale or exhibit any profane or indecent book, painting, drawing, engraving, photograph, representation, print or paper writing.

  16. No person shall indecently expose his person in or within view of any street or private street, or within view of any public thoroughfare.

  17. No person having the charge of shall permit any bull, stallion or entire animal to cover within public view.

  18. No person shall within the hours of eight o’clock in the morning and eight o’clock at night bathe near to or within view of any street or private street or place of public resort so as to offend against decency.

  19. No person shall keep or act or behave as master or mistress of, or as having the care, government or management of any disorderly house or house of ill-fame, or shall knowingly permit any other person to keep the same, or to act or behave as master or mistress thereof, or as having the care, government or management thereof; or shall knowingly let any house or part thereof for the purpose of being so kept or used.

  20. No person shall wilfully destroy or damage any building, wall, fence or paling or
