provisions of the Act of the General
Assembly in that behalf. The Master will
encourage such children to correspond by
letter with him regularly when in service,
and will ascertain as often as practicable (at
least once a year) either by personal visitation
or through the police, how the children are
progressing.

MAINTENANCE.

  1. The Master will make all lawful endeavours to cause parents to contribute
    towards the support of their children in the
    school, and will pay all money so collected
    into the Provincial Treasury, as provided by
    the Provincial Government Regulations.

  2. A Time Table as approved by the
    Government will be posted in a conspicuous
    place in the schoolroom.

  3. The following books will be kept:—

  • Record Book.
  • Occurrence Book and Diary.
  • Letter Book.
  • Visiting Book.
  • Clergyman’s Visiting Book.
  • Cash Book.

Section 94. The Masters or other persons in charge of Reformatories and Industrial Schools, Lunatic Asylums and other
places where the poor or sick are received,
and keepers or gaolers of Prisons, shall, at
the expense of their respective establishments
or Institutions, cause all inmates thereof to
be vaccinated, immediately upon their
entrance thereof, unless they produce
sufficient evidence of previous successful
vaccination within five years, if such vaccination shall not in the opinion of a duly-
qualified medical man be attended with
danger to such person.

Provided that the Governor is hereby
empowered by Proclamation in the Gazette,
to declare from time to time an age after
which vaccination or revaccination under
this clause shall not be compulsory.

Provided also that the obligation to be
vaccinated or revaccinated under this clause,
shall not apply to Lunatic Asylums or
Hospitals in any case in which the medical
officer of the Institution shall consider it
inexpedient.
