PROCLAMATION.

IN accordance with the recommendation
of the Provincial Council in that behalf,
I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of
the Province of Canterbury, do hereby, with
the advice of the Executive Council, make
the following Reserves of the extent and
for the purposes indicated in the Schedule
hereunto attached;
and do hereby direct

that the said Schedule, together with a complete description of the said Reserves, shall
be published in the Government Gazette of
the Province.

Given under my hand at Christchurch,
this 9th day of June, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-five.

1898 (in red).—Five acres, situate in the
Ashley District (Ashley Road District), having frontage of five chains
to the road forming the north-eastern
boundary of section 22123, and extending south-westerly ten chains in
a rectangular block north-west of and
adjoining the aforesaid section. For
a gravel pit.

1899 (in red).—Five acres, situate in the
Ashley District (Ashley Road District), having five chains frontage to
the road forming the south-west
boundary of section No. 7885, and
extending south-westerly ten chains
in a rectangular block. The easternmost corner of the above-described
land is situate five chains north-west
of the angle in the road opposite
section 10549. For a gravel pit.

1900 (in red).—Ten acres, more or less,
situate in the Ashburton District
(Mount Somers Road District),
bounded on the northward by a line
in continuation of the southern
boundary of section 5738; on the
westward by the road forming the
eastern boundary of the same section; on the south-eastward by a
road branching north-easterly
towards Alford Forest; and on the
southward by a line drawn parallel
to the northern boundary, so as to
include the required quantity. For
school site.

1901 (in red).—Seven acres, more or less,
situate in the Town of Akaroa
(Akaroa and Wainui Road District),
bounded on the north-eastward by
the road sixty links wide, forming the
south-western boundary of allotment
No. 17; on the north-westward by
the road reserved along the beach;
on the south-westward by rural section 61; and on the south-eastward
by a line 2½ chains distant from and
parallel to the road north-west of
allotment No. 4. For Provincial
Government purposes.
