PROCLAMATION,
Revoking Proclamation of 16th September, 1873, requiring Sheep introduced by land from Otago to be dressed.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation bearing date the 16th day of September, 1873, and published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 41, of the same date, it was ordered that all sheep introduced by land from the Province of Otago should be dressed to the satisfaction of the Inspector of Sheep for the Province of Canterbury :
Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury in pursuance of the powers vested in me by "The Canterbury Sheep Ordinance, 1872," do hereby revoke the said Proclamation.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this thirtieth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION,
By His Honor William Rolleston, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury appointing a Commissioner under "The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872."
THE PORT LEVY ROAD DISTRICT.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872," it was enacted that if at any time the persons qualified so to do, should refuse or neglect to elect members of the Board, of any district, the Superintendent should by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare the powers of such Board to be suspended, and should, by such Proclamation, appoint a Commissioner for such district :
And whereas the Ratepayers of the Port Levy Road District being the persons qualified so to do, have neglected to elect members of the Board for the said District,
Now, therefore, I WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, by and with the advice and consent of my Executive Council, do hereby proclaim and declare that the powers of the Road Board for the Port Levy District are suspended, and I do hereby appoint
JAMES HARRIS,
of Port Levy, Stockowner, Commissioner for the said district, according to the provisions of the said Ordinance.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this twenty-sixth day of May, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
