NOTICE.
SALE OF LITTLE RIVER RESERVES.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Block's Little River Timber Reserves Nos. 25, 12 and 5 each, containing 20 acres, will be submitted to public auction at the Waste Lands Board Office, on WEDNESDAY, the 24th June, 1874, at 10.30 a.m., in accordance with the provisions of the "Little River Reserve Sale Ordinance, 1869."

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz :—
No. 1652 (in red)—Sections 94, 95, 96, and 97, in the Township of Arowhenua.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled "The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is amongst other things provided that the Superintendent may, under the provisions of section 26 of the said Ordinance, declare any portion of the Province not comprised within the limits of any Educational District to be an Educational District:
Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the powers vested in me hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, declare the portion of the Province hereinafter described to be an Educational District, with the name and with the boundaries as are hereinafter set forth:—
HURUNUI EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
Bounded on the north by the river Hurunui; on the south-east by the sea; on the south-west by the river Waipara; westward by a straight line from the gorge of the river Hurunui to the source of the north branch of the river Waipara.
Given under my hand, and dated at Christchurch, this twenty-sixth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
