PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational District of Rangiora, have failed the time limited for that purpose by the Board of Education to contribute and pay to the Provincial Treasurer the amount fixed by the Board as the contribution of the said district for school purposes :

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of one shilling in the Β£ to be leviable within the said District, under the provisions of the 42nd section of "The Education Ordinance, 1873," and I do hereby appoint

THOMAS WYCHERLY

as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 30th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION.

I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me under section 33 of "The Education Ordinance, 1873," and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Board of Education, do hereby declare that no School Committee exists in the Educational District of Le Bons Bay; and I hereby call a meeting of householders in the Le Bons Bay Educational District, to be held at the Independent Chapel, on Thursday, the 14th day of May next, at the hour of 7 p.m., for the election of a Committee for the said district.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 30th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
