PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Neglected and Criminal Children Act, 1867," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province to establish for the purposes of the said Act Industrial Schools:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of Canterbury, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said recited Act, do hereby declare that the Message on Reserve No. 1160 at Burnham, shall, from and after the date hereof, be an Industrial School within the meaning and for the purposes of "The Neglected and Criminal Children Act, 1867," and "The Neglected Children Act, 1873."

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 23rd day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

PROCLAMATION.

I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me under the 27th Section of "The Education Ordinance, 1873," do hereby with the advice and consent of the Executive Council abolish the South Selwyn Educational District.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this twenty-third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.
