CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

THE City Council of Christchurch hereby give notice that it is their intention to consider a proposition to borrow the sum of six thousand pounds (£6000); such amount being required to meet the expenses of the works, in connection with the drainage of the city, which will be undertaken during the present year; the said amount to be raised on debentures, value £50 each, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum, issued for a term of fifty years, on the security of a special rate of two-pence in the pound on the rateable property in the city; which rate will provide the said interest and a sinking fund, as by "The City of Christchurch Loan Act, 1871," required. The interest will be payable half-yearly, and the principal at the time specified on the debenture, at the office of the City Council, Christchurch.
