as Collector of the sums still unpaid under Section 64 of “The Education Ordinance, 1871,” in the Lower Heathcote Educational District, vice Wm. Edward Norris, deceased.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled “The Education Ordinance, 1873,” it is among other things provided that the Superintendent may, under the provisions of Section 26 of the said Ordinance, declare any portion of the Province not comprised within the limits of any Educational District, to be an Educational District:
Now, therefore, I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, declare the portion of the Province herein-after described, to be an Educational District, with the name and boundaries as hereinafter set forth:

| Malvern | Bounded on the east by the Upper Courtenay Education District; thence westerly in a straight line from the south-west corner of Section 4027 to the south-east corner of Section 4119; thence westerly along the southern boundary of said section, and in a straight line to the south-east corner of Reserve 986; thence westerly along the southern boundary of said reserve to its south-west corner; thence westerly in a straight line to the south-east corner of Section 8982; thence south-westerly along the southern boundary of said section to its south-west corner; thence westerly in a straight line to the south-east corner of Section 11363; thence westerly along the southern boundary of said section to its south-west corner; thence north-westerly in a straight line to the south-west corner of Section 11385; thence northerly along the western boundary of said section to its north-west corner; thence northerly in a straight line to the south-west corner of Section 15714; thence north-easterly along the road forming the southern boundary of said section, and the western boundary of Section 12700 to the Waimakariri; thence along the Waimakariri to the starting point. |
