PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the 7th Section of "The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872," a petition from certain ratepayers of the Oxford Road District, praying that that part of the said district lying to the east of a straight line drawn from the north-west corner of rural section 13,684 to the north-west corner of rural section 9,791, thence in a straight line to the Ashley River opposite trig. pole No. 16 on the north bank of the Ashley, might be separated from the said district, and included in the adjoining Cust Road District, was referred by me to the Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury for their consideration, and the said Provincial Council did, by resolution, decide that such portion of the said Oxford Road District should be severed from the said Oxford Road District, and annexed to the adjoining Cust Road District:
Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the said Province, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare that such portion of the said Oxford Road District shall be severed from the said Oxford Road District, and annexed to the adjoining Cust Road District, from the tenth day of January, 1873.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 9th day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
