NOTICE.
IMPORTERS of Cattle and Pigs from Great Britain are requested, immediately on the arrival of the ship conveying such stock, to communicate with the Superintendent or Provincial Secretary, by whom instructions will be issued for inspection, and by whom payment will be made of the fees due in respect of the inspection of such imported Cattle or Pigs.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF CO-PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the partnership hitherto subsisting between Henry Burgess Lane and Frederick Lane, at Christchurch and Waltham, as Butchers, under the style or firm of “Lane Brothers,” has been this day dissolved by mutual consent.
The business of the late firm will in future be carried on by the said Henry Burgess Lane, who will pay all debts due by and receive all moneys owing to the said firm, at the business premises in Cashel Street, Christchurch.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
THE City Council of Christchurch hereby give notice that it is their intention to consider a proposition to borrow a sum of Six Thousand Pounds, such amount being required to meet the expenses of the works in connection with the Drainage of the City, which will be undertaken during the present year. The said amount to be raised on debentures, value Fifty Pounds each, bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum, issued for a term of fifty years, on the security of a special rate of one penny in the pound on the rateable property in the City, which rate will provide the said interest and a sinking fund as by “The City of Christchurch Loan Act, 1871,” required. The interest will be payable half yearly, and the principal at the time specified on the debentures at the office of the City Council, Christchurch.
