HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserve under the 43rd Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz.:
Twenty-five acres, in the Timaru District, bounded on the northward by Reserve No. 1073 (in red); on the westward by section No. 1661; on the southward by the river Opihi; and on the eastward by a line at right angles to the general direction of the southern boundary, so as to include the above quantity.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational District of West Oxford have failed within the time limited for that purpose by the Board of Education, to contribute and pay to the Provincial Treasurer the amount fixed by the Board as the contribution of the said district for school purposes:
Now therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby declare an uniform rate of Sixpence in the £, to be leviable within the said district, under the provisions of the seventeenth section of “The Education Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1872, No. 2;” and I do hereby appoint PHILIP BRIGGS as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 26th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
