PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the Educational District of Saltwater Creek have failed within the time limited for that purpose by the Board of Education, to contribute and pay to the Provincial Treasurer the amount fixed by the Board as the contribution of the said district for school purposes:
Now, therefore, I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby declare an uniform rate of fourpence in the £ to be leviable within the said district, under the provisions of the seventeenth section of “The Education Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1872, No. 2;” and I do hereby appoint WILLIAM EDWARD NORRISS as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 4th day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Now, therefore, I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me, do hereby declare an uniform rate of sixpence in the £ to be leviable within the said district, under the provisions of the seventeenth section of “The Education Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1872, No. 2;” and I do hereby appoint J. W. PATE as the person to whom the said rate shall be paid.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 2nd day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

PROCLAMATION.
RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the provisions of “The Canterbury Trespass of Cattle Ordinance, 1872,” do hereby proclaim and declare that the Pound, established at Arowhenua in the said Province, has been removed to a site on the east side of the Police Station, on Reserve 277 (in red) at Arowhenua; and that the yard erected on the said site shall be taken and deemed to be a Public Pound within the meaning of the said Ordinance, from and after Wednesday, the 16th day of October, 1872.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 4th day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
