the north-west by the southern branch of the Hurunui; on the south-west by a line sixty-six chains sixty-seven links distant on the average, from and parallel to the road above mentioned; and on the south-east by a line at right angles to the last-described boundary, so as to contain the above quantity, subject to Reserve 868 (in red).

Twenty acres in the Waipara District, bounded on the northward by the south branch of the Hurunui; and on the westward, southward, and eastward by the precipitous portion of the hills to be defined by survey lines if allowed as a boundary on survey. The above described land is situate about one mile to the westward of the confluence of the branches of the Hurunui River.

CANTERBURY RAILWAYS.

STORAGE OF TIMBER, BRICKS, &c.

ON and AFTER the FIRST OCTOBER NEXT, the following Regulations will take effect at the Christchurch Station:—

Free Storage will be given on Sawn Timber, as under:—

Cargoes under 30,000ft. Two weeks
„ 30,000ft. to 60,000ft. Three „
„ 60,000ft. to 100,000ft. Four „
„ 100,000ft. to 150,000ft. Five „
„ above 150,000ft., a proportionate extension.

Time to date from Tender of Specification.

On Firewood, Posts or Rails, Bricks, Slates, Earthenware, Pipes and Stone:—
For each cargo or separate consignment. Two weeks

After these periods a charge will be made for every week or part of a week until the whole shall have been removed, viz.:—

On Sawn Timber, Palings, and Shingles, one shilling per foot of frontage occupied by the whole cargo or consignment.

On Firewood, one shilling per cord on whole cargo or consignment.

On Posts and Rails, one shilling per 100 on whole cargo or consignment.

On Bricks, Slates, Pipes, &c., one shilling per foot frontage on whole cargo or consignment.
