HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be closed on Friday, the 24th instant, in honour of the Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that Sittings of the Waste Lands Board will be held on Mondays and Thursdays, at the Land Office, Christchurch, at the hour of 12 noon; but should Christmas Day fall, or a Holiday be proclaimed, on either of those days the Waste Lands Board will not sit on that day.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following reserves, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, viz.:

No. 1355 (in red).—Twenty acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern District, having ten chains frontage on the Coal Tramway Reserve, and extending south-westerly twenty chains in a rectangular block, north-west of and adjoining 4342—For the purpose of a cemetery.

No. 1356 (in red).—Twenty acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern District, bounded on the northward by the Dalthorpe Road; on the eastward by Hawkins and Selwyn Road; on the southward by Reserve No. 1255 (in red); and on the westward by a line at right angles to the northern boundary, to include the required quantity—For purposes of a school.
