PROCLAMATION.
WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by "The Dog Nuisance Ordinance, Session XVII., No. 3," do hereby appoint
Alexander Wilson and
Philip Thoreau
to be persons duly authorised to register dogs.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 2nd day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
HIS Excellency the Governor having proclaimed Thursday next, the Ninth May, as a General Holiday and day for a public thanksgiving to God for the restoration of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales to health, his Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the offices of the Provincial Government will be closed on that day.
