Christchurch, December 21, 1871.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz.:
No. 1329, in red.—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, bounded on the westward by the road forming the south-western boundary of section 13,666; on the southward by a line drawn at right angles to said road from a point thereon, situate about 42 chains in a direct line north-west of the westernmost corner of the aforesaid section 13,666; on the northward by a line parallel to the southern boundary, and 10 chains distant therefrom; and on the eastward by a line at right angles to the southern boundary, so as to contain the above quantity, and cover the stone at Stony Point at the entrance into the Pleasant Valley—For a quarry.
No. 1330, in red.—Five acres more or less, situate in the Mandeville district, having 5 chains frontage on the road east of section 10173, and extending westerly ten chains in a rectangular block south of and adjoining that section—For a gravel pit.

No. 1324, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, bounded on the eastward by reserve No. 1125 (in red); on the southward by the road forming the northern boundary of section 12605; on the northward by a line parallel to and 41 chains distant from the northern boundary line of that section; and on the westward by a line at right angles to the last described boundary, so as to contain the above quantity.
No. 1325, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, bounded on the eastward by reserve No. 1125 (in red); on the southward by the road forming part of the southern boundary of said reserve; on the northward by sections 12605, 13724, and the road forming the northern boundary of these sections; and on the westward by section 13724, and also by a straight line at right angles to the southern boundary of section 12605, so as to include the above quantity.
No. 1326, in red.—Five hundred acres more or less, situate in the Ashley district, bounded on the south-westward by the Garry river road; on the south-eastward by sections 10881, H.P.R., and I.P.R.C. on run No. 75, and also by a straight line drawn from the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned pre-emptive right to the aforesaid Garry river road, which it meets at a right angle on the north-eastward by a line parallel to the south-west boundary drawn from the westernmost corner of the aforesaid section 10881; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the last described boundary, so as to contain the above quantity, subject to sections No. 4775 and 4776.
No. 1327, in red.—Five hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton district, bounded on the south-eastward by the Long Beach road; on the south-westward by sections 13814 and 13815; on the north-eastward by sections 13811 and 13844; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the south-western boundary of the latter section, so as to contain the above quantity.
No. 1328, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch district, bounded on the south-westward by the Coal Tramway reserve; on the eastward by the road forming the western boundary of section 9774; on the north-eastward by a line parallel to and 40 chains distant from the south-western boundary; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the Coal Tramway reserve before mentioned, so as to contain the above quantity.
No. 1329, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch district, bounded on the south-westward by the Coal Tramway reserve; on the north-eastward by pre-emptive right No. 149; on the eastward by the road on the western side of sections 10843 and 10233; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the south-western boundary, so as to contain the above quantity.
