INSPECTOR’S QUARTERLY REPORT.
To THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD.
SIR,
I have the honour to submit a Tabular Summary as to the Attendance and Payments, and a Schedule as to the Efficiency of the Schools Examined.
It will be seen from the Tabular Summary that the number of Ordinary Schools is 67, four more than during the previous quarter, ending June 30th; one school, that at Saltwater Creek, having been re-opened, the Mandeville, a new ordinary school, having commenced, and the Robinson’s Bay and Pleasant Point, proposed special grant schools being included in the list.
The number of attendants during the quarter has been 3915, an increase of 714 upon the corresponding quarter of last year; the average daily attendance 2808, an increase of 717; the amount of school fees, £1077 15s. 6d., an increase of £27 14s. 10d.
