HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs the publication of the following Regulations adopted by the Board of Education for the conduct of its business, under the provisions of "The Education Ordinance, 1871."

At every meeting of the Board the chair shall be taken within fifteen minutes after the hour appointed for such meeting. If after the expiration of such fifteen minutes there be not present the quorum of members provided by the Education Ordinance the Chairman of the Board or in his absence the Secretary shall declare the Meeting adjourned to the next day for the Ordinary Meeting of the Board.

The Ordinary Meetings of the Board shall be held on the first and third Monday in every month at the hour of three o’clock and notice of each meeting shall be given by circular addressed and posted to each member of the Board not less than seven days before such meeting.

The Chairman may at his own instance or upon a requisition in writing addressed to him by any three members of the Board call a Special Meeting of the Board and due and convenient notice of such meeting shall be addressed and posted to each member and such notice shall specify the business to be brought before such meeting.

Minutes of all proceedings of the Board shall be kept by the Secretary and at every meeting of the Board the minutes of the previous meeting shall be read and submitted for confirmation before any other business be transacted.

After the minutes have been submitted for confirmation the Chairman or Secretary shall lay before the Board all correspondence statements and all other general information that may have been received since the previous meeting of the Board.

Except as herein otherwise provided no member shall initiate any subject for discussion unless in pursuance of notice in writing openly given at a previous meeting of the Board.

All business of which such notice has been given shall be taken into consideration before the ordinary business of the Board.

The ordinary business of the Board as laid before it by the Chairman and Secretary shall then be proceeded with.

All business of the Board shall be decided by resolution to be submitted by the member moving the same who shall if required thereto by the Chairman hand in such resolution in writing to the chair.
