eleven acres (more or less), situate in
the Ellesmere district, commencing
at a point on the south-eastern
boundary of H.P.R. on Run No.
101, Cl. 3; the said point being
eight chains from its easternmost
corner; thence south-easterly fol-
lowing a straight line parallel to and
eleven chains eighty links south-west
of the north Rakaia road a distance
of about twenty-nine chains; thence
south-westerly at a right angle a
distance of fourteen chains eighty-five
links; thence south-easterly following
a straight line a distance of about
fifty chains thirty links to a point on
the north-west boundary of section
10,777, situate twenty-three chains
thirty-five links from the northern-
most corner of that section; thence
south-westerly following the north-
west boundary of section 10,777 to
the westernmost corner thereof;

or less), situate in the Ellesmere
district, commencing at the junction
of the North Rakaia and Taumutu
Junction road with the road forming
the south-eastern boundary of section
12,885; thence north-easterly fol-
lowing the latter road to the south-
western boundary of section 10,739;
thence south-easterly following that
boundary a distance of forty-three
chains ninety-four links to the road
first-mentioned; and from thence
returning along the same to the
commencing point—For the purposes
of protective works in connection
with the River Rakaia.
No. 1288, in red.—234 acres (more or
less), situate in the Malvern district,
bounded on the eastward by the road
forming the western boundary of
section 12,872; on the northward by
the road forming the northern bound-
ary of that section and the southern
boundary of section 12,778; and on
the southward by the river Wakaepa
—For road, tramway, and other pur-
poses of the Provincial Government.
No. 1289, in red.—Two hundred and
seventy acres (more or less), situate
in the Malvern district, bounded on the
northward by the river Wakaepa; on
the eastward by the said river; on
the westward by section 3716; and
on the southward by a line parallel
to and fifteen chains distant on the
average from the northern boundary
—For road, tramway, and other pur-
poses of the Provincial Government.
No. 1316, in red.—All that tract of land
three chains wide, the centre line of
which commences on the southern
bank of the river Waihao, about
twenty-seven chains south-west of
Trigonometrical Station No. 3, and
extending in a southerly direction to
the northern bank of the river
Waitangi, where it is intersected by
the eastern side of the Telegraph
Reserve 953 (in red), save and
except the land purchased and re-
served to date—For the Southern
Line of Railway.
