Christchurch, May 23, 1871.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz.:
No. 1301, in red.—Five acres (more or less), situate in the Upper Christchurch District, bounded on the southward by the Coal Tramway Reserve; on the westward by the road running through section No. 8894; on the eastward by a line drawn at right angles to the southern boundary from a point thereon, being ten chains east of the south-west corner; and on the northward by a line parallel to the Coal Tramway Reserve above mentioned, so as to contain the above quantity—For a tramway station.
No. 1307, in red.—One acre one rood (more or less), situate on the Island of Kaiapoi, in the Mandeville District, bounded on the westward by the road on the eastern side of the Kaikainui creek; on the north-eastward by the road forming the south-west boundary of section 830; and on the south-westward by the road on the north-east side of section 417—For school purposes.
No. 1308, in red.—Twenty acres (more or less), situate in the Timaru District, bounded on the eastward by the Railway Reserve; on the southward by section 8086; on the westward by the road forming the western boundary of that section; and on the northward by a line parallel to the southern boundary, so as to contain the above quantity—For school purposes.
No. 1309, in red.—Twenty acres (more or less), situate in the Timaru District, having frontage of ten chains to the Main South Road, and extending westerly twenty chains in a rectangular block north of and adjoining the road on the north side of the Racecourse, subject to Reserve No. 953, in red—For school purposes.
No. 1310, in red.—Seven acres (more or less), situate in the Christchurch District, bounded on the westward and eastward by the roads forming respectively the eastern and western boundaries of sections Nos. 1132 and 7943; and on the southward by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of section 1068—For school purposes.
