HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Provincial Government Offices will be closed on Good Friday, on Saturday, the 8th instant, and on Easter Monday and Tuesday.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed the undermentioned persons to be Inspectors of Slaughter-yards for the Districts set opposite their names, viz.:

  • Sergt. Albert Geo. Barshaw, Lyttelton,
    Vice William O’Connor.
  • Sergt. Thomas O’Grady, Leithfield,
    Vice George Beatty.
  • Sergt. Charles Davies, Rangiora,
    Vice Thomas O’Grady.
  • Sergt. John Mullin, Oxford,
    Vice Charles Davies.
  • Sergt. John Pratt, Kaiapoi,
    Vice John Mullin.
