And whereas it is expedient to exempt from the infected district so proclaimed as aforesaid the portions of land hereinafter described, that is to say—All that portion of land comprising the Main North Road, commencing at a point opposite to and due east of Harrison’s Bridge to its junction with the Rangiora and Woodend Road, opposite the south-west corner of section No. 689. Also, all that portion of land comprising the Rangiora and Woodend Road from its junction with the Main North Road, opposite the south-west corner of section No. 689 to its junction with the road forming the south-eastern boundary of section No. 1028:
Now, therefore, I, the said William Rolleston, do hereby declare that the said portions of land shall be and are hereby exempted from the infected district so proclaimed as aforesaid.
This Proclamation shall take effect from and after the day following the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this Eighteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.
