"I, Charles Meyer, of Pleasant Point, Timaru, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 140 in number, marked swallow-tail on ear, on board of the vessel Alhambra, now lying at Timaru, in the said Province, have not within three months last past had applied to them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.—CHARLES MEYER."
