REMARKS.—The Weather during the three months has been unusually dry, less rain having fallen than has been registered for the same period since Observations have been taken at this Station. The average total fall for September, October, and November, from 1864—69 inclusive, was 6.431 inches; the total fall this year for these months was 3.190. Sleet fell on 1st September. On 3rd October a smart shock of earthquake was felt in the north of this Island, and in Wellington. The month of November was almost uninterruptedly fine. There were heavy N.W. gales on 8th October and 24th of November.
