road forming the northern boundary
of section 7718; thence south-easterly, following that road to section
6152; thence north-easterly, following
the north-western boundary of that
section to the south-eastern boundary of section 7741; following that
boundary, the southern and north-western boundaries of the same section, and a line in continuation of
the last-mentioned boundary to section 7850; thence north-westerly,
along the south-western boundary of
the latter section to its westernmost
corner; and from thence returning
along the western boundaries of sections 7850, 4897, and the before-mentioned section 7597, to the commencing point (save and except the
land reserved and purchased to date),
and also to Pre-emptive Rights, viz.:

I.P.R.’s d, e, f, g, i, j, k, l, m, on Run

connection with the overflow of the

No. 959, in red.—All that portion of the
Province of Canterbury comprised
within the highest flood line of Lake
Ellesmere (subject, nevertheless, to
reserves, freehold land, and pre-emptive rights)—For purposes in
connection with the drainage of Lake
Ellesmere.

No. 960, in red.—All that portion of the
Province of Canterbury comprised
within the highest flood line of Lake
Forsyth (subject, nevertheless, to
reserves, freehold land, and pre-emptive rights)—For purposes in
connection with the drainage of Lake
Forsyth.

No. 1080, in red.—Three hundred and
ten acres (more or less), situate in
the Oxford district, commencing at a
point on the Forest road, the same
being sixty-nine chains fifty links
distant from and north-east of Trig.
station 0.86; thence westerly at an
angle of 41 deg. with the said road,
a distance of one hundred and two
chains to the northern bank of the
Waimakariri; thence southerly and
easterly following the said bank to
the road before-mentioned; and
from thence returning along the road
to the commencing point, subject,
nevertheless, to sections 7735, 6766,
and 3599—For tramway and other
purposes.

No. 1237, in red.—Twelve hundred and
two acres (more or less), situate in
the Ashburton and Timaru districts,
commencing at a point on the southern side of the road leading by Trig.
pole 79, the said point being thirty-two
chains north-east of Trig. pole
78; thence northerly following the
said road a distance of eighty-two
chains; thence westerly at an angle
of 102 deg. 5 min., following a straight
line to the road by Geraldine and
Orari; thence southerly following the
latter road a distance of about eighty-two chains eighty links; and from
thence returning in a line parallel to
and one mile distant from the northern boundary to the commencing
point—For purposes of the Rangitata
bridge.

No. 1238, in red.—Fifty-three acres (more
or less), situate in the Lincoln dis-
trict, bounded on the northward by
the Ellesmere junction road and
Reserve No. 310, in red; on the
eastward by the Weedon and Elles-
mere road; on the westward by the
aforesaid reserve and section No.
4052; and on the southward by
section 6638; subject to Reserve No.
302, in red—For purposes of a Tramway.

No. 1243, in red.—Six hundred and
seventy-three acres (more or less),
situate in the Ellesmere district,
bounded on the south-westward by
the Rakaia river; on the north-
westward by the south-eastern boundary of H.P.R. on Run No. 101 and
a line in continuation thereof; on
the south-eastward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of
section 10,368; and on the north-
eastward by the North Rakaia road
(save and except sections Nos.
10,368, 13,511, 12,832, 10,779, 10,778,
10,777, and reserve No. 1185, in red)
—For the purposes of protective
works in connection with the river
Rakaia.

No. 1244, in red.—Four hundred and
thirty acres (more or less), situate in
the Ellesmere district, bounded on
the south-westward by the North
Rakaia road; on the southward by
the North Rakaia and Taumutu
Junction road; on the north-eastward
by sections 10,739, 12,885, and 7786;
on the north-westward by the road
forming the north-western boundary
of the latter section, and on the
south-eastward by sections 12,885
and 11,312—For the purposes of
protective works in connection with
the river Rakaia.
