PROCLAMATION.

I WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, do hereby summon the Provincial Council of the said Province to meet for the despatch of business, at the Council Chamber, at Christchurch, at Two o'clock in the afternoon, on FRIDAY, the Thirtieth day of September, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy.

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that

FERDINAND HAHNS

has been appointed by the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board to be Poundkeeper of the Akaroa Pound, in the room of William Green, resigned.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the partnership lately subsisting between the undersigned John Sim and Alexander Birnie, carrying on business as Farmers, in the Selwyn District, in the Province of Canterbury, has been this day dissolved by mutual consent; and that all debts due and owing to or by the late firm will be received or paid by the said John Sim.

As witness our hands, this Twenty-ninth day of August, 1870.

DISSOLUTION OF CO-PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Co-partnership between the undersigned, Edmund Gibson and Philip Bouverie Luxmoore, lately carrying on business as Sheep Farmers and Graziers, in the Waitangi District, in the Province of Canterbury, under the style or firm of "Gibson and Luxmoore," was dissolved on the Second day of May now last past by mutual consent.

Dated this Twenty-seventh day of June, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.
