HIS Honor the Deputy Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz. :-

No. 1253, in red.—Ten acres (more or less) situate in the Oxford district, bounded on the southward by section No. 13987, on the north-eastward by the road forming the south-western boundary of section No. 12543, and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the aforesaid road, so as to contain the above quantity, subject to a road—For a Gravel Pit.

No. 1254, in red.—Twenty-five acres (more or less) situate in the Timaru District, near Arowhenua, formerly rural section No. 5086, commencing at a point on the eastern side of the Railway Reserve, the same being the north-western corner of section No. 4657; thence easterly, following the northern boundary of that section a distance of forty chains; thence northerly, at a right angle, six chains fifteen links, thence again at a right angle westerly, a distance of forty-one chains sixty-five links to the Reserve beforementioned; and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point.—For Educational purposes.
