IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has assented to the Proclamation dated 19th March, 1870, issued by his Honor the Superintendent of Canterbury, under the “Diseased Cattle Acts,” and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 16, of the 25th March, 1870, page 149.

PROCLAMATION.
I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by “The Trespass of Cattle Ordinance, 1869,” do hereby proclaim and declare that the Stockyard at the Point Accommodation House shall be deemed and taken to be a Public Pound, within the meaning of the above recited Ordinance, from and after Monday, the Ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy; and I do hereby appoint
THOMAS WATKINS
to be Poundkeeper at the said Pound.
Given under my hand this Twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed
THOMAS PATTERSON
to be Poundkeeper, at the Temuka Pound.
