Remarks.
The first half of January was changeable,
the first week being particularly rainy. On
the 29th a most severe hail-storm came up
from the S.W., accompanied by thunder
and lightning; the hail stones were un-
usually large. In four minutes water to the
depth of 0.310 inches fell. The weather
during February was, throughout, very
fine.
