HIS Honor the Superintendent in pursuance of certain powers vested in him by "The Empowering Ordinance, Session II., No. 21" directs it to be notified that the Footpaths hereinafter described having been well and sufficiently made and completed for the use and accommodation of foot-passengers according to the provisions of "The Footpaths Ordinance, Session VII., No. 12," are hereby declared to be Public Footpaths, and from and after the date hereof shall be deemed and taken accordingly to be public footpaths within the meaning of the said Ordinance.
The said Footpaths are as follows:—
On both sides of the Main South road from the north side of section No. 104, Rhodes’ Town, Timaru, to the south side of section No. 21 in the Government Town of Timaru.
On both sides of Strathallan and George streets from junction with Main South road to the sea.
On the south side of North street from junction with Main South road to section No. 137.
On the north side of Heaton street from junction with Main South road westward to section No. 147.

BYE-LAW No. 3
OF THE
TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of section one hundred and eighty-one, part thirteen, of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," the Council of the Borough of Timaru ordain as follows, that is to say:—
- The fifteenth, sixteenth, seventeenth, eighteenth, nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third, twenty-fourth, twenty-fifth and twenty-sixth provisions of the fourth sub-division of the first part of the thirteenth Schedule to the said Act are hereby adopted in and for the said Borough.
Passed by the said Council this Twenty-fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
I hereby certify that the above written Bye-Law is to the best of my belief and knowledge in compliance, as regards the Borough of Timaru, with section one hundred and eighty-four of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867."
