being sold by auction or otherwise,
without the written authority of an
Inspector under "The Diseased Cattle
Acts;" and any person guilty of any
breach of this Regulation, shall be
liable to a penalty of Fifty Pounds for
every head of Cattle driven into such
sale yard.

XVII.—All owners or persons having the
custody, care, or possession, of any
Cattle within any such Infected District
as aforesaid, shall within thirty days
after notice shall have been given to that
effect, give a notice in writing to the
Officer in charge of the Police Station
nearest the place where such Cattle are
kept, or are; containing the number of
such Cattle, the particulars as nearly as
can be of the place or places where such
Cattle are kept, or are; and the brands
with which they are branded, and if
such owners or persons shall neglect or
refuse to obey this Regulation, they
shall be liable to a penalty of Ten
Pounds.

XVIII.—Every Inspector appointed under
"The Diseased Cattle Acts" by the
Superintendent, shall make a report in
writing to the said Superintendent of
all things done by him under these
Regulations, and under the said Acts,
as and when he shall be required so
to do.

XIX.—These Regulations shall take effect
from and after the day following the
date of publication in the New Zealand
Gazette.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that he has made the
following Reserves, temporarily, under the
19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz:—

1052 (in red)—All that parcel of land
situated in the Courtney Road District,
containing fifty-four acres, more or
less; bounded on the west by section
3802; on the south by the Coal Road;
on the east by section No. 9616; on
the north by the edge of the River Bed:

1053 (in red)—All that parcel of land
situated in the Courtney Road District,
containing (27) twenty-seven acres,
more or less; bounded on the west by
section 9616; on the south by section
12,536; on the east by the road east
of section No. 12,536; on the north by
edge of River Bed:—Gravel Reserves
for Waimakariri Protective Works.
