His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed the undermentioned persons to be Inspectors of Slaughter Houses for the Districts set opposite their names, viz.:

  • David Ramsay, for the Akaroa District.
  • Albert George Barstram, for the Arowhenua District.

His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs the publication of the following By-law of the Council of the Borough of Lyttelton.

By-law of the Council of the Borough of Lyttelton.

In pursuance of clause 181, part XIII. of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Borough of Lyttelton ordain as follows, that is to say:—

The thirteenth schedule to the said Act (with the exception of part III. and section 2 of part IV., together with sections 5, 6, 7, of part VII. of the said schedule) is hereby adopted in and for the said Borough.

Passed by the said Council this Fifth day of July, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

This is to certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief the foregoing adopted By-law is in compliance as regards the Borough of Lyttelton with clause 184 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867.”

No. 1085, in red.—One hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Lincoln District, commencing at the north-western corner of section 18,559; thence following a line in continuation of the south-western boundary of that section a distance of ten chains; thence north-easterly at a right angle...
