And whereas it is expedient to make
further provision for the destruction of
diseased cattle within the said infected
district, and for preventing the spread of
the disease:

Now therefore I, the said WILLIAM ROLLESTON,
do hereby make the following
Regulation to take effect from and after the
day following the date of publication hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette:—

REGULATION.

When any notice shall have been given
by an Inspector under the Diseased
Cattle Acts in accordance with the
Eleventh Regulation published in
the Proclamation aforesaid, to the
owner or occupier of any farm or
run within any infected district upon
which he shall be satisfied that there
are infected cattle or cattle which
have mixed with cattle which
are actually infected or suspected to
be infected, if after the lapse of two
months from the date of such notice
any Inspector shall be satisfied that
disease is likely again to recur upon
the said farm or run, and if any case
shall occur after the date of such
notice, then the cattle may be
declared by the Superintendent to
be infected cattle, and he may order
them to be slaughtered, within a
reasonable period, provided that the
carcases of any such cattle which, on
inspection, may prove to be free from
disease, may be sold for food in
accordance with the Tenth Regulation
published as aforesaid.

HIS Honor the Superintendent, in pur-
suance of certain powers vested in
him by "The Empowering Ordinance,
Session II., No. 2," directs it to be notified
that the Footpaths hereinafter described
having been well and sufficiently made and
completed for the use and accommodation of
foot passengers, according to the provisions
of "The Footpaths Ordinance, Session
VII., No. 12," are hereby declared to be
public footpaths, and from and after the
date hereof shall be deemed and taken
accordingly to be public footpaths within
the meaning of the said Ordinance.

The said footpaths are as follows:—

Peterborough street, north side, from
Manchester street to Madras street.

Peterborough street, south side, from
Manchester street to Madras street.
St. Asaph street, north side, from Bar-
badoes street to the East Town Belt.
St. Asaph street, south side, from Bar-
badoes street to the East Town Belt.

I HEREBY give Notice that Leander
Goss Cole, has resigned his appointment
as a Fire Inspector for the City of Christ-
church, and that I have accepted the same.
