COURT OF REVISION.

AN Adjourned Court for the revision of the Ratepayer’s Roll for Little River District, will be held at Williams’ Hotel, Lake Ellesmere, on Tuesday, 22nd December, 1868, at 11 o’clock a.m.

IN pursuance of Clause 191 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” his Honor the Superintendent directs the publication of the following Bye-laws of the Council of the Borough of Timaru.

BYE-LAWS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF TIMARU.

In pursuance of section one hundred and eighty-one, part thirteen, of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Borough of Timaru ordain as follows, that is to say:—

  1. The first to the seventh provision, both inclusive, of the first subdivision of the first part of the thirteenth schedule to the said Act, the twenty-seventh and twenty-eighth provision of the fifth subdivision of the first part of the said schedule; the twenty-ninth to the thirty-seventh provision, both inclusive, of the sixth subdivision of the first part of the said schedule; the thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth provisions of the seventh subdivision of the first part of the said schedule; the fortieth and forty-first provisions of the eighth subdivision of the first part of the said schedule; the forty-second to the forty-sixth provision, both inclusive, of the ninth subdivision of the first part of the said schedule; the first to the seventh provisions, both inclusive, of the first and second subdivisions of the seventh part of the said schedule; the first to the seventh provisions, both inclusive, of the first and second subdivisions of the eighth part of the said schedule; the third and fourth provisions of the ninth part of the said schedule; the sixty-fourth and seventy-second provisions of the second subdivision of the tenth part of the said schedule; the first to the fifty-seventh provision, both inclusive, of the eleventh subdivision of the said thirteenth schedule, are hereby adopted in and for the said Borough.

  2. The following regulation, heretofore existing, is repealed:—

“That all verandas erected in the town be at least eight feet in height at the lowest point, and the roof of same to consist of at least one-third glass. The posts to be fixed on the outer line or curbway of the footpath.”

Passed by the said Council this ninth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

I hereby certify that the above-written bye-law is in compliance, as regards the Borough of Timaru, with section one hundred and eighty-four of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867.”
