His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that a Writ calling for an Election to be held for the return of a Member to serve in the Provincial Council for the Papanui District, has been returned to him with the endorsement that

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserve, temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the “Waste Land Regulations;” viz:—

No. 958, in Red.

Twenty acres, more or less, situate in the Maidstoneville District, bounded on the Northward by the Road reserved along the southern bank of the river Ashley, on the westward by section No. 10449, and also by a straight line drawn from the south-eastern corner thereof to a point on the northern boundary of Section No. 10009, situate about 25 chains 50 links from the north-west corner of that Section, on the southward by Section 10009, and on the eastward by a line parallel to the last described portion of the western boundary, so as to contain the above quantity.—For a Rifle Range.
