Road; thence north-westerly, following a curve of forty chains radius a distance of about forty chains; thence north-easterly, following a straight line a distance of ninety chains; thence northerly, following a curve of eighty chains radius to the foot of the high bank or terrace forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 5177, save and except the freehold land purchased to date—For the uses of the Provincial Government, and particularly for a Railway.

No. 457, in red.—All the tract of land, three chains wide, running from the Coal Tramway Reserve to the Dale-thorpe and Kowai Road, the northern boundary being south of, and parallel to, and twenty chains distant from, the Little Racecourse Hill and Kowai Road—For the uses of the Provincial Government, and particularly for a Railway.

No. 702, in red.—Nine hundred and thirty acres (more or less), situate in the Christchurch District, being the old river-bed, bounded on the east by the road west of Section No. 3201, on the west by Reserve in red, No. 325, and Bealey Road, and on the northward by the high bank of the old river-bed forming the southern boundary line of Sections 2919, 2603, 2552, 2342, 2343, on the southward by the high bank forming the northern boundary of Sections Nos. 6099, 4911, 4910, 4842, 4634, 4069, and 2861; subject, nevertheless, to Reserves Nos. 325 and 326 (in red), and to Section 8005—For a rifle range.

No. 807, in red.—Two hundred acres (more or less), bounded on the north by the road forming the northern boundary of sections Nos. 4538 and 4539, and a line in continuation of the southern side thereof; on the east by the road reserved along high-water mark; on the south by the northern boundary of sections 10,695 and 10,929, and a line extending eastward and westward in continuation of that boundary; and on the west by the aforesaid section No. 4539, for a distance of about twenty-three chains—For a rifle range.

No. 819, in red.—Five acres (more or less), situate in the Timaru District, bounded on the north-east by the Geraldine Road, on the westward by the river Waihi, on the eastward by the stream forming the western boundary of section 4929, and on the south-west by a line parallel to the road before mentioned, so as to include the above quantity, subject to a road—For a public pound.

No. 820, in red.—Ten acres (more or less), situate in the Timaru district, bounded on the westward by the high bank of the Temuka, on the northward by section 2429, on the eastward by section 3132, and on the southward by the road forming the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section—For public purposes.

No. 857, in red.—Five acres (more or less), situate in the Town of Arowhenua, being bounded on the southward by High Street, on the northward by the Taumatakahu Creek, on the westward by a line in continuation of the western boundary of section 3154, and on the eastward by a line at right angles to the aforesaid street, so as to include the above quantity—For a public cemetery.

No. 865, in red.—Twenty acres (more or less), situate in the Ashley District, bounded on the southward by the road forming the southern boundary of section 9692, and extending back northerly a distance on the average of twenty chains; the eastern boundary being five chains west of and parallel to the western boundary of the section above mentioned—For a gravel pit.

No. 866, in red.—Three hundred and twenty acres (more or less), situate in the Waiangi District, commencing at a point on the northern side of the deep channel of the Waiangi River, the same being in continuation of Buckley’s fence, running easterly along the said River, a distance of eighty-five chains, and extending back northerly forty chains, in a rectangular block, the western boundary being the fence before mentioned—Subject also to Section 3240, and to the Road and Railway Reserves—For the purposes of a ferry.

No. 867, in red.—One hundred acres (more or less), situate in the Ashley District, being the bed of the Kowai, from the sea on the east to a line drawn nor-therly in continuation of the western boundary of section No. 4971 on the west—For a rifle range.

No. 871, in red.—Six acres (more or less), situate in the Christchurch District; bounded on the north-westward by the Reserve for the Southern line of Railway, on the north-eastward by section 7416, on the south-eastward by the South Road, and on the south-westward by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of section 6363—For a gravel pit.
