REMARKS.

CHRISTCHURCH.

The month commenced with a week of bright clear weather; the nights occasionally frosty, but the days warm and pleasant. The 9th was exceedingly cold, with rain and showers of sleet in the forenoon, but it cleared off fine in the afternoon, and continued so until the 16th. From the latter day to the 20th the weather was very changeable and cold, with frequent showers of rain, and occasional slight fogs in the night time. From the 21st to the 28th, warm sunny days and a cloudless sky again prevailed. The weather broke on the 29th.
