PUBLIC NOTICE.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance of an application made to him in that behalf, by not less than two-thirds of a duly organised body of Volunteers, whose services have been accepted by Mr. Joseph Bailey, as their Chief Engineer for the time being, His Honor the Deputy Superintendent has been pleased to accept such body as an enrolled Fire Brigade, under "The Fire Ordinance, 1864."

PUBLIC NOTICE.

In the matter of the "Debtors and Creditors Acts;" and

In the matter of the several Petitions of the following Debtors:—

Patrick Flannagan of Hokitika in the Westland District, Clerk;
Jacob Schuster of Hokitika aforesaid, Musician;
William Lloyd and Benjamin Taggart, trading as "Lloyd, Taggart & Co." of Hokitika aforesaid, Shipping and Commission Agents;
James Nightingale of Hokitika, late Usher of the Supreme Court at Hokitika, a debtor in Her Majesty’s Gaol at Hokitika aforesaid, out of employment; and
Frederick Rehberg of Hokitika aforesaid, Contractor.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Court has appointed Monday, the Twenty-third day of September next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at the Court House, Hokitika, for hearing the above petitions.
