NOTICE.

IN accordance with the provisions of "The Public House Ordinance, 1866," the Conditional License granted at the Annual Licensing Meeting to Ross and Forbes has been withheld, and referred to His Honor the Superintendent.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between us, the undersigned, carrying on business, in Hereford Street, Christchurch, New Zealand, as Hotel and Livery Stable Keepers, under the style or firm of "Collins and Mason," has been this day dissolved by mutual consent.

The business will in future be carried on by Mr. James Collins, who will pay and receive all debts due by and to the said co-partnership business.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations; viz.—

No. 819, in red.—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, bounded on the north-east by the Geraldine road, on the westward by the river Waihi, on the eastward by the stream forming the western boundary of section 4929, and on the south-west by a line parallel to the road before mentioned, so as to include the above quantity, subject to a road—For a public pound.

No. 820, in red.—Ten acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, bounded on the westward by the high bank of the Temuka, on the northward by section 2429, on the eastward by section 3132, and on the southward by the road forming the southern boundary of the last mentioned section—For public purposes.

No. 821, in red.—Seventy-nine acres, more or less, situate near the south bank of the river Grey, commencing at a point on the road reserved along the north-eastern bank of the Omotomoto creek, the same being six chains seventy links south-east of the Omotomoto bridge; thence following a line bearing north 64 deg. 30 min. east (magnetic), a distance about thirty-five chains twenty links; thence following another line bearing south 40 deg. 50 min. east (magnetic), a distance of about sixteen chains forty links to the road before mentioned; and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point—For a recreation ground.

[Note—This Reserve is withdrawn from the Gold Fields by Proclamation; see front page.]

No. 198, in red.—Three thousand acres, more or less, situate in the Waipara District, being bounded on the north and east by the River Hurunui, on the south by the River Waitohi, and on the west by a due north and south line passing through the trigonometrical station forming the eastern extremity of the base line—For a quarantine ground for sheep.
