H IS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that a writ, calling for an election to be held for the return of a member to serve in the Provincial Council for the Timaru District, has been returned to him, with the endorsement that

has been duly elected.

I, JOHN McAULIFFE, hereby make application to register “The Band of Hope Gold Mining Company,” under the provisions of “The Mining Company’s Limited Liability Act, 1865;” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my knowledge, true in every particular:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Band of Hope Gold Mining Company.”

  2. The place of operation is at Ross.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is four thousand four hundred pounds sterling (£4,400), in four hundred and forty (440) shares of ten pounds (£10) sterling each.

  4. The amount of capital paid up is (£220) two hundred and twenty pounds sterling.

  5. The name of the manager is John McAuliffe.

  6. The office of the Company is at the store of J. Gibson and Co., Ross.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows:—
