Christchurch, March 6, 1867.

HIS Honor the Superintendent, in pursuance of certain powers vested in him by “The Empowering Ordinance, Session II, No. 2,” directs it to be notified that the footpaths hereinafter described having been well and sufficiently made and completed for the use and accommodation of foot passengers, according to the provisions of “The Footpaths Ordinance, Session VII, No. 12,” are hereby declared to be public footpaths, and from and after the date hereof shall be deemed and taken accordingly to be public footpaths within the meaning of the said Ordinance.

The said footpaths are as follows:—

  • Manchester Street, east side, from Salisbury Street to the North Town Belt.
  • Manchester Street, west side, from Salisbury Street to the North Town Belt.
  • Madras Street, east side, from Salisbury Street northward a distance of 12¼ chains.
  • Madras Street, west side, from Salisbury Street northward a distance of 12½ chains.
  • St. Asaph Street, south side, from Montreal Street to Antigua Street.

NOTICE.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WESTLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Acts.”

HIS Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq., the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit for the despatch of business accruing under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, at the Court House, Hokitika, on Monday, the Third day of June next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

In the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Acts;” and

In the matter of the Estate of Richard Thomas Stanley, of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury, Merchant, a debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that by a vesting order of the Supreme Court dated the Nineteenth day of February 1867 the estate and effects of the said Richard Thomas Stanley were sequestrated and James Edwin Graham of Christchurch aforesaid Inspector in Bankruptcy was appointed Receiver and that Monday the Eighteenth day of March instant was appointed for the hearing of the petition of the said debtor at the Court House Christchurch aforesaid at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.
