HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that the Public Offices
will be closed on Monday, the 17th instant,
in celebration of the Anniversary of the
Foundation of the Settlement.

an election to be held for the return of a
Member to serve in the Provincial Council
for the Heathcote District, has been re-
turned to him, with the endorsement that
Joshua Strange Williams, Esq.,
has been duly elected.

James Walls, trading under the
firm of “G. Grieve and Co.,” as Cattle
Dealers to the West Coast, have this day
dissolved partnership by mutual consent, as
